Profile of the Business Group

The business Group consists of UN Trading, Nur Jamal Jute Mills Limited and Nur Jamal Agro & Food Industries Limited. UN Trading is engaged in general business and commercial activities which include procurement and import of items ranging from edible oils, food items and grains etc. to construction materials and their procurement and supply. The works and construction of buildings, road and other activities also include highways, river embankment and protection, sand filling of land, drainage (surface and underground), bridge and culvert making and more and supply of related materials and services. The activities are conducted under the 1st class contractor ship and import and supply experience of the proprietor of a decade as it started functioning in 2013 and the Group of business emerged and scaled up under successful and rich entrepreneurship of Mr. S M Jamal Hossain.

The business Group operates and manages three industries. One is Nur Jamal Jute Mills Limited, an export-oriented company, manufacturing jute yarn and gunny bags and sacs of jute. The factory, purchased and taken over in 2017, is located at Sadarbera, Talma, Nagarkanda, Faridpur, Bangladesh. The company is manufacturing, exporting and importing and supplying related products. Second, Nur Jamal Agro & Food Industries Limited is an industrial complex of eco-friendly rice mill with other mill units such as flour mill that are under way. The industrial complex is located at Machpara, Ramkol-7721, Pangsha, Rajbari, Bangladesh. The Jute mill is within 1 hour and 30 minutes driving distance from the capital city of Dhaka. The agro-industrial complex is within 3 hours driving distance from Dhaka. Third, a flour mill is located beside the jute mill which will be shifted to the Machpara Industrial Complex.
An additional industrial unit of old spinning mill has come under the ownership of the Group which was previously opened in the seventies by the then Minister of Industry of Bangladesh which later went out of operation and production.

The Group has taken up the projects of revamping the spinning mill for importing cotton and producing cotton yarn and supplying that to local industries making textiles and fabrics. Company management has also taken up the project of adding two new industrial plants: a modern edible oil mill of its own brand and a factory to make nylon net bags on a part of the 20 acre size
ndustrial site. The site is few kms away from the century’s old river port of Goalanda on the bank of the river Padma. Mr. S M Jamal Hossain, born on 28 October 1965, is the founder Proprietor or owner of UN Trading, Managing Director of Nur Jamal Jute Mills Limited, Managing Director of Nur jamal Agro & Food Industries Limited and Managing Director of Nur Jamal Flour Mill Limited. Mr. Hossain is reputed for his welfare work not only for three thousand plus active workers and employees of the business Group but also for the poor people of different areas of his industrial sites and companies.
he UN Trading has ongoing experience of working with and supply to both public and private sector organizations.The public sector organizations include Bangladesh Water Development Board, Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust Land Development, Agricultural development Corporation (BADC), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and more.
The business Group is growing fast and expanding and diversifying in sectors of agriculture, fisheries, livestock, agro and food processing, agro inputs and (new tech) fertilizers,construction, housing, developing, manufacturing, distribution and chain networking. It has attained excellent creditworthiness enjoying a high LC limit. The Group for its business and operational process work through a network of site and project offices in different districts of the Group is working for international trade and investment operation and arrangements as well. The business Group is striving for upgrading and modernizing its industrials projects and services with state- of the – art machinery from countries like Japan and technology and innovations of the emerging times and 4th industrial revolution.
